The Blabjerg Barn Inhabitants
Goosie and Ina, September 2024
The team at Blåbjerg Barn currently consists of 3 very smart horses, 2 stunningly intelligent dogs, 4 whimsical cats, an ever changing flurry of winged animals in different states of mental and physical wellbeing and one human.
I am Ina, a nurse by training, humanitarian aid worker by profession & responsible for the prosperity and wellbeing of our animal family at the farm. I am also responsible for opening our space to animals in need and truly lucky that all formal residents have so far generously welcomed each new arrival.
I am in the final stretches of becoming a Masterson Method® Certified Practitioner and in the early stages of turning our vision of Stories Unfolding into reality.
Meanwhile I am nursing injured chickens, am looking forward to welcome handicapped Grey Geese in late spring and am secretly hoping for cows to miraculously show up at our doorstep.
Faizah, Dago and Kaiman, July 2o23
The horses taking up the most space at the barn, and on this page…
Kaiman, English Thoroughbred, considers himself the first born, even though he is technically 6 weeks younger than Dago. He is hilariously funny and mindblowingly indifferent to what anyone may think of him.
Dago, Hannovarian - is too polite to correct the fact that he is indeed the oldest, and, while we are at it: the tallest and most handsome horse at the barn!
Faizah, Oldenburger, the youngest at 6 and currently the only mare, loving and living it to the fullest!
Felix, sometime in 2024
Felix is the centre of the universe and never fails to remind us of it! He is also incredibly kind hearted, resilient and loving. He would never admit it but even the cats are somewhat ok-ish, if they keep their distance!
Mila, doing a parameter check to keep us all safe in June 2024
Mila is our self appointed head of security at the barn! Nothing escapes her attention and her principle of “bark fiercely then evaluate the situation” knows no exemption! She falls in love with literally everyone who ends up at the kitchen table, even if her initial plan was to eat them alive. No worries please, everyone is still alive (to tell their story of having met - and likely have fallen in love - with Millie, on second sight)
Ollie in September 2024
We did not know how much we needed kittens in our lives until these gangsters fell out of the barn ceiling.
If you are into cats you can read more about how they found their way into a “3 meals a day and a warm bed (mine) to sleep in” deal at this link

The chickens! Currently 3 roosters, 4 girls, all colours, all octaves. This little bundle came to us in a carton box, gifted by a neighbour - what an awesome surpise! A little while ago the girls just walzed into the kitchen to clean up the crums that Felix had left for them.
The roosters were too busy with competitative crowing. Here we are advertizing for the incredible quietness you can experience at the barn…
